Text:

[verse1] We light the fire on longest day, to keep the night and dark at bay. From northern lands the tales have grown, where midnight sun through weeks has shone.

The drums they call, the dancers spin, till dawn arrives and day breaks in. The oak trees watch, their branches wide, and bless the flames by riverside.

The meadow hums with buzzing bees, the air is thick with scents of trees. We raise our cups, the old toast clear, to summer’s strength and all held dear.

From dusk till dawn the fiddles play, the young and old all join the sway. No shadow falls, no dream takes flight, in Sanguine’s glowing Midsummer Light.

O sun that lingers in the sky, your golden fire will never die. Our hearts burn bright, our laughter free, as long as you will shine on me.
